Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026 · Applies to the Vierummy mobile game (the “Game”)
1. Who we are
Vierummy is developed and published by Tennozan Games, an independent solo developer (the “we”, “us”). For any privacy question or request, contact support@vierummy.com. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
2. What we collect
2.1 Account and profile
When you first open the Game, we create an anonymous account through Firebase Authentication. This produces a random account identifier. It is not linked to your name, phone number, or email, and we cannot use it to identify you personally.
If you choose to sign in with a third-party provider (for example Google), we additionally store the email address associated with that account and the name of the provider, so that your progress can be restored on a new device. Signing in this way is entirely optional — the Game is fully playable anonymously.
Your player profile, stored in Google Firestore, contains:
- display name and avatar you choose (a nickname you type in; it does not have to be your real name)
- a randomly generated player code
- email address and sign-in provider — only if you chose a third-party sign-in
- account creation time and last sign-in time
- your in-game settings (volume, language, rule preferences)
- your game statistics (games played, games won)
2.2 Online play
If you create or join a private room to play with friends, the room data (room code, seat assignments, the display names and avatars of participants, and the state of the current game) is stored temporarily so all players stay in sync. This data is deleted automatically shortly after the room is finished.
2.3 Analytics and crash reports
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which screens are used and where players get stuck, and Firebase Crashlytics to receive automatic reports when the Game crashes or hits an error. These reports contain technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace. They do not contain the contents of your messages or your personal details.
2.4 Feedback you send us
The Game has a built-in feedback form. It is only used when you choose to submit something. When you do, we receive:
| Data | Source |
|---|---|
| Category, your written message, and an optional contact detail | Typed by you |
| App version and platform | Attached automatically |
| Device model, operating system, system language, screen resolution, network type | Attached automatically |
| Which screen you were on and, if you were in a game, the game identifier, turn number, mode and seat | Attached automatically |
| Recent in-app diagnostic logs | Attached automatically |
This is disclosed to you on the feedback screen itself before you submit. Please avoid typing sensitive personal information into the free-text field. If you provide a contact detail, it is used solely to reply to you about that report.
3. Why we collect it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Let you play, and save your progress and settings | Account, profile, statistics | Performance of a contract |
| Synchronise online games between players | Room and game state | Performance of a contract |
| Fix crashes and improve the Game | Analytics, crash reports | Legitimate interest |
| Answer and act on your feedback | Feedback submission | Legitimate interest / your consent |
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Who else can see it
We keep the number of third parties as small as we can. They are:
- Google (Firebase) — provides the authentication, database, analytics and crash reporting that the Game runs on. See the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
- Discord — when you submit in-app feedback, a copy of that submission (including the automatically attached technical context described in section 2.4) is delivered to a private channel in our Discord server so that we see it promptly. Only we have access to that channel. See the Discord Privacy Policy.
- Google Play — distributes the Game and processes any purchase. We never receive your payment card details.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of players.
5. Where your data is stored
Our Firebase project stores data on Google’s infrastructure, which may be located in countries outside your own, including the United States. Google provides contractual safeguards (including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.
6. How long we keep it
- Profile and statistics — until you delete your account, or until the account has been inactive for a long period.
- Online room and game data — deleted automatically within a few days of the room ending.
- Crash and analytics data — retained according to Firebase’s standard retention periods.
- Feedback — kept while we work on the issue and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can recognise recurring problems.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (in particular under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, and the CCPA in California), you have the right to request access to your data, correction of it, deletion of it, a copy of it in a portable form, and to object to certain processing. Californian residents additionally have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights — and note that we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
You can delete your account from within the Game (Settings → Profile), which removes your profile and statistics. For anything else, email support@vierummy.com and we will respond within 30 days. Because anonymous accounts contain no identifying information, we may need the player code shown in your profile in order to locate your data.
8. Children
Vierummy is a family-friendly card-and-tile game, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in Firebase with access rules that prevent one player from reading another player’s private data. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect precisely so that there is little to expose.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and, for significant changes, give notice inside the Game. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
